When my husband and I were getting married, there was one thing we couldn't quite find. We wanted luxury incredible portraits, The kind of portraits that make you stop and stare; beautiful photographs of the dress, the flowers and all the details we'd spent so long choosing.

But we didn't want luxury wedding photography and a beautiful gallery at the expense of our wedding. We wanted the laughter. The people. The energy. The fleeting moments we couldn't plan and probably wouldn't even see happening.

We wanted both.

And that's become the heart of how I photograph weddings today. Because I don't believe the photographs that look extraordinary and the photographs that mean everything should exist in separate galleries. The magic is having both.
